🧰 Tips from Your Mechanic – Summer Maintenance

🚗 Road Trip Ready

Before heading out on your next adventure, take a few minutes to inspect these key areas:

Check Your Tires

Inspect tread depth and tire pressure. Underinflated tires can reduce fuel economy and increase wear.

Test Your Battery

Summer heat can be just as hard on batteries as winter cold. Make sure your battery is ready before you hit the highway.

Inspect Belts & Hoses

A worn belt or cracked hose can turn a great vacation into an expensive tow bill.

Check All Fluids

Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid should all be topped off and inspected.

Pack an Emergency Kit

Include jumper cables, a flashlight, bottled water, basic tools, and a first-aid kit.

❄️ Keeping Your AC Healthy

Nobody wants to sweat through summer traffic.

Run Your AC Regularly

Even during cooler mornings, running the AC helps keep seals lubricated and prevents system issues.

Change Your Cabin Air Filter

A clogged cabin filter restricts airflow and forces your AC system to work harder.

Listen for Strange Noises

Clicking, squealing, or rattling sounds may indicate AC component problems.

Don’t Ignore Weak Cooling

If your vents aren’t blowing cold air, have the system inspected before a minor issue becomes a major repair.

Schedule Preventive Maintenance

Routine AC inspections can help catch leaks and worn components before they leave you stranded in the heat.
